Which Celeb LOVES bingo??

We always knew we loved Robbie Williams for a reason – he’s just revealed that he loves a game of bingo! OK, so the fact he’s gorgeous too – and let’s not forget he can hold a tune pretty well, but its nice to know he’s a fan of our favourite game! Apparently Robbie raises […]

"FULL HOUSE!" screams Robbie, as Gary squeals in excitement

We always knew we loved Robbie Williams for a reason – he’s just revealed that he loves a game of bingo! OK, so the fact he’s gorgeous too – and let’s not forget he can hold a tune pretty well, but its nice to know he’s a fan of our favourite game!

Apparently Robbie raises money for various charities by playing bingo, and has come to fall in love with the exciting game. Sources say his favourite is a good old game of 90 ball bingo – just like us Rob!

We wonder if the rest of the Take That gang are bingo fans too? Robbie posted a photo to his blog earlier this year, which showed Gary Barlow playing the role of bingo caller at a dinner party – this seems to indicate that they are! Can you imagine playing Monkey Madness or Double Ton Up with Take That? Amazing!

Robbie isn’t the only celebrity to profess a love for bingo – Barack Obama is a fan – as is Paris Hilton, who has been seen at a number of high profile charity bingo games. Russell Crowe meanwhile, was actually a bingo-caller before he became famous, and allegedly lost the job after making up his own – rude – bingo calls!

We say, get your dabbers out guys, and come and join us at Gala! No, they may not need a share of 60k, or a holiday to Egypt – but they’d be guaranteed to have a good time with you lot!

Which celebrity would you be most excited to see at your local Gala club?

Marks And Spencer Dump Dannii As Ads Are Axed!

Marks and Spencer have for a very long time been associated with the older generations.  It is potentially one of the main retailers for older age groups with most other shops being aimed at teens and twenty-somethings.  So it was surprising to see them starting to ignore their main customer base in their main advertising campaigns by using young, well known models and personalities like Lisa Snowdon, Dannii Minogue and Victoria’s Secret Model Ana Beatriz Barros.  Other big names that featured in the campaigns since they first started running in 2004 like Erin O’Connor and Lily Cole.

The adverts got more and more over the top and to be honest cheesier and cheesier.  When the celeb studded adverts first aired they were fresh although maybe a little young for their shoppers.  So it should really not come as a surprise to hear that Dannii Minogue has been dropped as the face of Marks and Sparks.  Oh it’s not really been a good year for Dannii so far.  Not only have there been constant rumours that her relationship with boyfriend Kris Smith is in trouble, she has also been forced to leave the UK X Factor show after the dates clashed with her Australia’s Got Talent commitments.

It’s not that we didn’t love some of those adverts, especially the year that the Christmas advert starred the lovely Take That boys but recently the adverts just seem to be trying too hard almost.  The horribly cheesy adverts with Dannii, Lisa Snowdon and pop star VV Brown with curlers in their hair, jumping on the bed and other silly clichéd scenes are truly terrible!

Time to get back to targeting your real shoppers M&S, play time is over!!!

I do still love this one though:

No need to get your tissues out yet Take That fans.  Just as we thought they were going to do a disappearing act on us for a while after their monster of a tour, we hear the good news that the video for their latest single has just been released! Yippee!

Their Progress Live 2011 tour became the biggest tour in UK history with a record breaking 1.34 million tickets sold within 24 hours of going on sale.  They delighted fans by performing songs from their youth like Never Forget and now they will delight us even more as they sing about their youth in new song – When We Were Young.

The video was shot in Wembley Stadium after their tour had finished and features them in what looks like the aftermath of their huge gigs!  Whilst Robbie lies on the stage surrounded by confetti and other things left over from the concert the rest of the band are scattered around the empty arena.  Just think, Gary might be sitting in your seat!  I’m jealous and also wish I had hung around after the concert had finished!

It almost sounds like a goodbye song from our favourite boys, so I was relieved to find out that it was recorded as the theme-song for the new Three Musketeers film.  Pheeww!  You can get your paws on the track from the 22nd of August and then the film is to be released in October.  Hopefully this means that if we see the film, we get to hear Take That blasting over the credits in full surround sound.  I was the happiest person ever to be able to enjoy Rule The World cinema style at the end of Stardust!

Gary has said “We wanted to match the film, musically.  We’ve returned to guitars, real pianos and a conventional song structure to achieve this.  We also thought that the Musketeers reminded us of ourselves.”

Aww how nice!  Well as long as you don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon, it’s fine with us boys!  TT Forever!

Take That fever has well and truly taken over me!!!  I am headed to their concert and cannot wait and have decided to dedicate a whole blog to the wonderful boys and their music.  I’m still not convinced on Robbie’s return to the group but I bet after I see them live I will be more than happy to have him back.  Anyway, here are my top 5 Take That songs!!! (It’s difficult to just choose 5!)

1.Rule The World
First created for the soundtrack to the film Stardust and then went on to be a number one hit!  Have loved this song since the first time I heard it and to top it all off I love the film too.  Although it’s not a classic TT oldie, it’s no doubt my number one.

2.Never Forget
No matter how many times you hear this song, I don’t think you can get sick of it.  An oldie but a goody!  Amazing to see live and be in the crowd for, hope they do this one on the new tour too!

3.Back For Good
The last song with Robster, until the new album that was correct anyway.  Remember when the official announcement was made that Take That were splitting up and help lines had to be set up to help people who were distraught from the news?  This song kind of always reminds me of that.  It is a brilliant song anyway!

4.Greatest Day
The first track from ‘The Circus’, the second album they released after reforming and my did it have a lot to live up to.  It certainly didn’t disappoint that’s for sure!  They even opened their last tour with this track and for that reason it will always have great memories for me!

5.Shine
Ah little Mark Owen takes lead of this great song.  It’s a bit annoying it’s now used in a supermarket advert because it does kind of remind you of that a bit when you hear it.  But overall a really good song for Take That.  It was amazing when they performed it on ‘The Circus’ tour… what a show!!!
