Followed By Britain’s Got More Talent, 9.20pm ITV2

ITV’s hit entertainment show is back with a bang for a sixth series as Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden are joined by Alesha Dixon and David Walliams on a new-look judging panel.

Britain’s Got Talent is back on the road with the Judges trawling the length and breadth of the UK in search of Britain’s best talent.

Hosted by award-winning TV favourites Ant & Dec, Simon Cowell is joined on the exciting new panel by actor and comedian David Walliams; singer, songwriter and dancer Alesha Dixon; and returning Judge, Amanda Holden.

This year the winner will not only have the opportunity to perform at the 2012 Royal Variety Performance, they will also receive a life changing £500,000 – £250,000 of which will come from Simon Cowell’s own pocket.

Expect the unexpected on Britain’s Got Talent, anything goes from dance troupes to acrobats, magicians to comedians and dancing dogs to mind-blowing contortionists. The show is open to any performer of any age, from any background, with any talent – all they need is a skill and star quality which they think will impress the Judges.

The rumours have been building for months, so we’re really excited that the auditions for Britain’s Got Talent have finally started!

From what we’ve heard, David Walliams has everyone in stitches with his trademark quick-wit and new girl Alesha Dixon is putting her past judging experiences on Strictly to good use. They have joined BGT regulars Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden as judges and the panel seem to be having a lot of fun.

The photos from the BGT Manchester Auditions show Amanda and Alesha having a good girlie gossip backstage while David is his usual cheeky self, acting up for the camera. The foursome also pose for a group photo and we have to say, we think they look fab together!

We can’t wait until the new series starts in April so we can see the new line-up for ourselves!

Michael Mcintyre has QUIT Britain’s Got Talent!

We loved Michael Mcintyre as a judge on reality show Britain’s Got Talent – so we’re sad to hear that he has quit the show, after just one series!

The hugely popular stand-up comedian decided he wants to have a break from television and return to the stage, reports The Sun Newspaper.

Michael said: “I absolutely loved being a judge but have been itching to get back on stage myself. I wish the show and production team every success.”

BGT’s creator, Simon Cowell, must be slightly worried –  just a week ago it was reported that fellow judge David ‘The Hoff’ Hasselhoff has been axed from the show

Not only this, but Amanda Holden is pregnant – so may have to postpone her return to the show.

Poor Simon – he’ll have no judges left at this rate!

Still, the music mogul can’t be too concerned – The X Factor is still pulling in millions each weekend – with the US version of the hit singing show set to do the same when it launches.

Cheryl Cole got her own back on Simon Cowell – by blowing up a dummy of the music mogul!

Chez was sacked from the US version of the X Factor by Simon earlier this year, so we can imagine that it was brilliant to take out some of her anger on a likeness of her former boss!

The former X Factor judge is on a morale-boosting visit to troops in Afghanistan, and was taking part in a training exercise when soldiers presented her with the dummy. 10kg of explosive material was placed around the Simon doll, and troops kindly allowed Cheryl to push the detonator!

She told the Mirror: “It was nice to hold the cards for a change – this moment will live in my memory for a long time!”

“They sprang it on me. I had no idea Simon the dummy was going to be blown up. It was good to see everyone having a laugh.”

Apparently Cheryl also said that the dummy needed a bigger head, and higher trousers!

Cheryl has been a hit with British troops serving a tour of duty in Afgahanstan, and apparently many have been impressed with her down-to-earth attitude!

According to The Mirror, Chief Lieutenant Colonel Tim Purbrick said: “Her smile is infectious, she was up for doing everything we suggested. She was like one of the lads.”

Well done Cheryl! Are you missing seeing her on your TV screen every week? If you’re X Factor obsessed, why not try one of our brilliant X Factor themed games?

There’s the X Factor scratch card – where you can win £1k, or you can play in the qualifying rounds of Bootcamp Bingo… there’s £20k up for grabs!!

Game show Red or Black hit our screens this weekend, as thousands battled it out to win £1 million on the spin of a roulette wheel.

We can’t help but think that Simon Cowell – the show’s creator – may be feeling a little bit worried, as so far both finalists managed to guess ‘Red or Black’ correctly, meaning Mr. Cowell has already had to pay out a massive £2 million!

In case you didn’t get a chance to watch it, each episode of the show – which is running every day this week – features 1,000 hopefuls who are whittled down as they bet on either Red or Black. This continues until only one remains – with just a single spin of the roulette wheel standing between them and a million pounds.

The show is as star-studded as they come, with David Haye, Leona Lewis and Pixie Lott all making appearances. Personally though, our favourite moment was watching David ‘The Hoff’ Hasselhoff catapulted hundreds of feet in to the air! If that’s not quality television, then we don’t know what is.

Will you be tuning in tonight?

If you fancy getting involved in some Red or Black action yourself, then Gala bingo has the game for you. Continuing with the roulette theme is our Red or Black’ £5,000 giveaway!*

This amazing game is running for THIS WEEK ONLY so you need to get involved as soon as possible if you want to be in with a chance of winning a share of £5k!

All you have to do is deposit an amount into your gala bingo account (minimum 50p) and enter the bonus code LUCKY – before you click proceed. You can then play any of our Roulette products and bet on Red or Black, for your chance of winning a share of the 5k prize!

With reports that David Hasselhoff will NOT be returning to Britain’s Got Talent for its next series – gossips are already speculating about who the new judge might be!

And according to the Mirror newspaper – comedian David Walliams could be being lined up for the role.

A source told the Mirror: “David Walliams was approached before but turned it down. But now he’s happily settled, he is keen to explore new work opportunities.”

The source also added: “And if Amanda decides to concentrate on motherhood, Billie Piper would be a fantastic replacement. They’re also looking at up-and-coming stars like Jessie J, who’d add a youthful element.”

Well, we love Little Britain star David, and think he’d be an amazing addition to the show – especially if he came dressed up in some of his crazy outfits!

Sadly, this is all still just rumour…. But it got us excited anyway! Who would you like to see as a judge? We reckon Jedward would be pretty hilarious!

The X Factor 2011- Gary Barlow’s best put-downs!

When we heard that Gary Barlow was being lined up for the role of head judge on this years X factor, we have to admit – our first reaction was: ‘oh, but he’s so boring!’. While the Take That star is undeniably a brilliant songwriter and great singer, he’s never had the reputation of being […]

When we heard that Gary Barlow was being lined up for the role of head judge on this years X factor, we have to admit – our first reaction was: ‘oh, but he’s so boring!’.

While the Take That star is undeniably a brilliant songwriter and great singer, he’s never had the reputation of being much fun.

So we were more than slightly apprehensive as we tuned in to watch the first episode of the hit talent show last Saturday – would the X factor be the same without Simon’s nasty remarks?

We shouldn’t have worried. Mr. Barlow, it turns out, is funny! Not only that, but he’s giving Mr.Cowell a run for his money – with some brilliantly honest – and let’s face it, a little bit mean – put downs.

Here’s five of our favourite G-Low – Yes, we did just call him that – quotes from the first show:

1.To an auditionee who called himself the ‘Russian rapper’: “It’s ironic that most of the words in Russian end in ‘off’.”

2.“I think it would be far too much work to get you ready for this year. And next year.

3.“Now Ellen my wife is a dancer. I’m very attracted to dancers. Unfortunately I like singing as well.”

4.To contestant George Garasimou, who claimed he had matured since his previous appearance on the show (when he threw a microphone). “When you said earlier you’ve matured, in what way have you matured? Thing mature nicely – like a red wine or a cheese. You’ve matured like a bad curry, mate.”

5.To contestant Raymond Harding: “If I shut my eyes, I wouldn’t have known if that was a human being or an animal being strangled.”

What do you think? Do you love Gary’s mean side? Or do you think he’s gone too far?

Shock Twist at X Factor 2011 bootcamp auditions!

The show hasn’t even started yet – but X factor contestants have already faced a shock twist at yesterday’s boot camp auditions. The show hasn’t even started yet – but X factor contestants have already faced a shock twist at yesterday’s boot camp auditions.

Gary Barlow, who has replaced Simon Cowell as head judge, booted 35 hopefuls out of the competition – before they’d even had a chance to sing! Could Gary be following in Simon’s footsteps as Mr. Nasty?

Gary and his fellow judges – Tulisa Constostavlos, Kelly Rowland and X Factor veteran Louis Walsh-  broke the news to devastated contestants yesterday, as they gathered outside boot camp HQ.

According to the Daily Mail, Gary stated: “We don’t believe everyone standing in front of us has the potential to make it all the way in this competition. Some of you are going home now.”

Singer Kelly Rowland added: “While you were partying last night, we were looking at your audition tapes, we only want to work with people who can go all the way.”

With this kind of twist at the audition stage, who knows what surprises the judges have in store for the live shows!

We’ve already heard that there are loads of new and exciting things planned for the eight series of the TV talent show.

The live final is rumoured to be taking place at Wembley Arena  this year, and contestants will be filmed – Big Brother style – as they live together in the X factor house. We didn’t think we could get much more excited – but we just did! Don’t forget to tune in on Saturday 18th August,  this is one you’re not going to want to miss!

And – if you can’t wait until then – check out the new X factor trailer, and tell us what you think!

Cheryl Cole: Headed To A Screen Near You!

You can’t keep our Chezza down for long that’s for sure!  It’s only been a couple of months since she was booted off The X Factor and basically publicly humiliated yet here she is striking up a deal to be a Hollywood movie star.  Haha in your face Mr Cowell!

She was branded as not good enough for the US X Factor and not understandable with that Geordie accent of hers, yet her she is with a Hollywood movie deal under her belt.  She has gone and landed herself a role in What To Expect When You’re Expecting.

The film is an adaptation of the successful pregnancy guide and has superstars like Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez and Matthew Morrison.  Cheryl is set to play a TV talent show judge for her cameo role which is a clear dig at Simon Cowell.  We salute you Chezza!

She originally impressed Hollywood film bosses during a four day appearance at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year and will apparently be filming her scenes later this month.  It will probably be a good change of scene for her and a bit of fun after all the palaver with The X Factor.  Can’t wait to see her on the big screen and putting all this X Factor stuff behind her!!!
