Do you love chocolate? Well we have good news for you! Apparently, science geeks have discovered that eating small amounts of dark chocolate may have the same effect as 30 minutes on the treadmill!

OK, so this doesn’t mean we can sit with a bumper pack of Dairy Milk in front of the telly, telling our loved ones – ‘’It’s fine, I’m exercising”…  but we still LOVE this news.

Scientists say that exercise – like running or cycling  - gives a boost to the part of your cells that produce energy…. And an ingredient found in dark chocolate does the same!

So next time you’re settling down to watch the X Factor, or to play one of our fantastic X Factor themed games, you can nibble on some dark chocolate and not feel guilty! Amazing!

Just an important point though…. The science lot did warn us that this is only true for very small amounts of dark chocolate! The scientists hope their research will lead to better ways of combating age-related muscle wasting.
