Channel 5 had barely booted out the final celebrity housemates before they chucked another 13 in for our entertainment! Yes, Big Brother – the non-celebrity, two month long version – began on Friday night.

We already knew there was a twist in store – Host Brian Dowling revealed on Thursday that Baywatch star Pamela Anderson would be joining the housemates  as they begin their quest to become a TV presenter/singer/do a photo shoot for Nuts Magazine.

On seeing the latest crop of housemates, the first word that springs to mind is…young. The fact  that 28-year-old Spearmint Rhino ‘hostess’ Rebbekah and 30-year-old father of one Aaron referred to themselves as the ‘oldies’ of the house says a lot about the average age!

Even Pamela Anderson noticed saying: “Oh I really am going to be the mother of the house!”

Pamela had been watching the launch show as it happened, and was revealed to the new housemates once they’d all arrived. Cue a lot of screaming.

“Are you Pamela Anderson…You’re like, really fit in real life too.” whined sales assistant Mark. Many other pearls of wisdom from Mark followed – leaving most of the housemates looking slightly confused… or trying to get away.

But prize for the biggest idiot of the show so far has to go to 19-year-old Aden. The psychology student from North London spent his time telling anybody who would listen that he’s slept with ‘more girls than the average guy’ – but he doesn’t like to brag about it. Right.

Conversation over the weekend centred around who fancies who. Yes, already! Model Maisy, dancer Tashy and wrestler (yes really!) Faye huddled in a corner discussing the various merits of the male housemates, while Aden and Anton seemed to have formed a bit of a ‘players’ pact already. In fact, it’s all Anton can talk about!

Back to resident celeb Pamela Anderson – who set a series of tasks. What the housemates don’t know is that the winner of each task – who have to wear gold swimwear and a cloak – will be immune from eviction this week!

Holistic healer Heaven (try saying that quickly!) was victorious in the first task – impressing Pamela with her samba dance moves – while Aden was chosen as winner of the second, after a speed dating session with Pamela.

SO that rounds up Big Brother news from this weekend – Pamela still has two tasks to set the housemates, and we’re just waiting for the bitching to begin! What did you think??

Big Brother: Paddy is crowned winner… and a MASSIVE surprise is revealed!

What a shock twist in the Celebrity Big Brother Final! Jedward had been tipped as favourites to claim the winners crown (would a crown even fit on those quiffs?) but came third – leaving Kerry and Paddy to battle it out for first place! We did say yesterday that we’d like to see Paddy win […]

What a shock twist in the Celebrity Big Brother Final! Jedward had been tipped as favourites to claim the winners crown (would a crown even fit on those quiffs?) but came third – leaving Kerry and Paddy to battle it out for first place!

We did say yesterday that we’d like to see Paddy win – and it seems you guys all felt the same. A nervous looking Paddy covered his face with his hands when host Brian Dowling revealed he’d won the show – before whooping and jumping round the room!

The Irish born traveller may have a history as a bit of a hardman – but he proved that he’s a bit of a teddy bear really, looking close to tears as he left the house to huge cheers and fans chanting his name.

We have to say, even we got a bit choked up seeing the Big Fat Gypsy Wedding star reunited with his beloved “WOMAN”!

As for Kerry Katona, she appeared delighted to have come so close to winning the competition, “I can’t believe I came second” she kept repeating, while shaking like a leaf! Well done Kezza!

Of the seven housemates in the final, model Bobby who was the first to be evicted, followed by paparrazo Darryn Lyons – who let Brian have a feel of his surgically enhanced six-pack – and Lucien.TOWIE’s Amy Childs, who had been a favourite to win before the programme began, came in fourth place.

And so, Big Brother comes to an end… oh wait, no it doesn’t!

Channel 5 have gone BB crazy, and the non- celebrity version of the show starts tonight! Not only that, but it’s due to start with a massive twist!

Yes, when the Big Brother contestants enter the house Baywatch star Pamela Anderson will be there to greet them!

At the end of last night’s final cameras went panned back to the house, and a voice was heard….

“Will Pamela please come to the diary room”. Accomponied by gasps and cheers from the watching crowd,  the blonde actress was seen taking a seat on the famous diary room chair.

“I’m going to give them the ride of their lives” said Pamela. Well, if we weren’t planning on watching before – nothing could stop us tuning in now!

This month a whole load of reality shows spring back into action!  It is the return of The X Factor and Big Brother.  However both of these shows will be returning with huge changes.  The X Factor of course has 3 new judges and Big Brother has moved to a new channel with a whole host of new people involved in the show.

The first official promo pics have been released for The X Factor with the obvious comparisons being made between Cheryl Cole and her replacement Tulisa Contostavlos from N-Dubz.  In the new pictures Tulisa has long brown hair full of volume and curls and is wearing a Herve Leger bandage dress which Cheryl is a known fan of.  Since she joined the X Factor team she has transformed from “chav” to fab and she looks amazing in the new promos.

In a recent interview she says that her new sleek, flawless appearance is down to a ‘glam squad’ of hair and make-up artists.  “I’m lucky to have a glam squad of hairdressers, make-up artists and stylists who help with red carpet events.  Once you’ve factored in hair straighteners and false lashes, it usually takes two hours.  I loved experimenting with labels like Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen during the auditions but I’m a high street girl at heart.  River Island and Lipsy are my faves.”

Also coming back to our screens but with big changes is of course Big Brother.  This year it moves to channel 5 and will kick off with a celebrity special.  I think the word celebrity should be used loosely though looking at the potential line up.  So far people such as Jedward and Kerry Katona have been suggested for the line-up and strangely so has Sally Bercow.  I doubt we were the only ones thinking – err who?!?  Sally Bercow is apparently the wife of Commons Speaker John Bercow…!  Yeah, we still have no idea who you are or why on earth you would or should be appearing on celebrity big brother.

Also apparently appearing this year is Pamela Anderson and Paddy Doherty from the Channel 4 documentary series My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.  It will be interesting to say the least, although how it can be called celeb big bro, I’m not so sure.
