I’m from Twickenham in South West London. When people hear that, they always ask if I like rugby – sadly I’m not a massive fan!
How long have you been a CM, and how did you get the job?
I became a CM in December, so it’s coming up to a year now! I’ve actually worked for Gala for the past three years though. I was working in the customer services department when I saw the CM position advertised, I was so excited when I got the job!
Tell us about your best bingo experience?
Oh that’s easy – I had my best bingo experience in Gala Feltham! My mum pointed out that I’d missed a number being called. Three numbers later and I’d won £400! We were all high-fiving each other as I’d so nearly missed out – luckily my mum was paying attention! When I got home I threw all the money up in the air as if I were in a film! It was great.
What do you like about being a CM?
I love being a CM. It’s just so nice to enjoy work – and it feels like such a bonus to get paid for something I love doing. Chatting to the roomies is great fun, so often I sit there in hysterics at some of the stories people tell me! I also love how it fits in to my life, and around my kids. I’m happy with every aspect of the job!
What’s creating a buzz in the chat rooms at the moment?
Lots of people are talking about Presenter Quest! It’s really fun to talk about, and roomies egg each other on, trying to convince people to take part! It’s especially good when roomie regular auditions, everyone gets really excited to see them and the support is fantastic. It’s a real community atmosphere!
What’s the strangest question you’ve ever been asked?
Someone once asked if my husband wears a Mankini! I just cracked up laughing! We then all spent about an hour talking about Mankini’s – it was very funny!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I have two children, a 5-year-old, and an 18-month-old so they take up a lot of my time! I go to various playgroups, baby classes and meet other mums for coffee. I also love getting creative. When I have a bit of time to myself I like to make things – whether it’s sewing or pottery!
Thanks Michelle, it was lovely talking to you!
