So, auditions are over, and we the X Factor final 16 have been revealed! The lucky few beat thousands of hopefuls to make it to the holy grail of talent television – the X Factor live shows. Their fate will now rely entirely on the voting public, as they battle to win a coveted recording contract!

The weekend’s double-bill was the most emotionally charged episode yet, with tears from pretty much everyone involved – including the judges!

While most of our favourites made it through, there were a few shocks and we’re gutted at a few of the acts who were sent home! What did you think?

Here’s a quick recap of the final 16:

Girls

If there’s a defining characteristic of Kelly’s final four, it’s that they’re all so young! Amelia and Janet are just 16! There’s some amazing talent in this category, and some very different singing styles – we think Kelly has a very strong group!

Amelia Lily, 16, from Middlesbrough

Sophie Habibis, 19, from London

Janet Devlin, 16, from Omagh

Misha Bryan, 19, from Manchester

Boys

Gary’s boys are again, all very different – from James Michael’s soft tones, to Craig Colton’s powerful voice. There’s also some great characters, which will make for brilliant TV!

Frankie Cocozza, 18, from Brighton

Marcus Collins, 23, from Liverpool

Craig Colton, 22, from Liverpool

James Michael, 20, from Cheshire

Groups

Aside from 2 shoes, Tulisa has choses groups that the judges ‘manufactured’ at boot camp. While this means that they’re obviously what the judges want, and can all sing – it will be interesting how the virtual strangers adapt to spending 24/7 together!

2 shoes: Charley, 23 and Lucy, 21, from Essex.

Rhythmix: Jessy, 20, Leigh-Anne, 19, Perrie, 18 and Jade, 18.

Nu Vibe: Richard, Bradley and Jordan, all 16. Ashford and Stefan, 19.

The Risk: Derry, 21, Ashley 22, Andrew, 20 and Charlie, 25.

The Over 26’s

Louis has caused the most scandal with his choices – hundreds took to twitter and Facebook to complain that favourites such as Terry were sent home, while Kitty and Goldie (who later quit) were put through. Does Louis know what he’s doing? Or is he just hoping for another Jedward?

Sami Brookes, 31, Rhyl

Kitty Brucknell, 26, Cheltenham

JonJo Kerr, 27, Wiltshire

Johnny Robinson, 45, Harrow

Our Predictions for the X Factor final 16!

There’s just a few days left until we find out just who – out of the thousands that applied – will be appearing on the X Factor live shows! There are currently 32 contestants in the competition, and the judges will need to whittle down their categories to just four each. It’s going to be tough with so many talented hopefuls! Here’s who WE think will make the final 16! Do you agree?

Girls – Mentored by Kelly Rowland

Janet Devlin

She’s been a favourite since the beginning, and Kelly would be a fool to leave Irish Janet out of her final four. We’re pretty sure that won’t happen though, the 16-year-old’s unique singing voice has reduced Kelly to tears on several occasions!

Jade Richards

Jade wowed the judges with her rendition of Adele’s “Someone Like You”, and has sailed through boot camp since then. Her soft yet powerful voice would be brilliant to watch on the live shows!

Amelia Lily

16-year-old Amelia is a pre-packaged pop star! Her distinctive style and complete confidence make her a dead-cert for the final 16, in our opinion!

Sophie Habibis

Sophie hasn’t featured massively on the show so far, but what we have seen, we’ve loved! She’s humble which will go down well with the voting public, and has a bit of a sob-story which may encourage Kelly to put her through.

Boys – Mentored by Gary Barlow

Frankie Cocozza

‘Ladies’ man’ Frankie may be a bit of a player, but he can really sing! Plus he’s got the ‘likeability’ factor that all the judges keep banging on about.

Joe Cox

Slightly awkward at times, Joe has slipped under the radar slightly in the run up to this weeks ‘Judges Houses’ show. However, we think Gary will love his distinctive voice, which sets him apart from his fellow contestants.

Marcus Collins

This guy has serious soul. His smooth vocals and great dance moves make him much more versatile than some of the other guys – and we’ve never seen someone so confident!

Craig Colton

Craig can belt out a ballad like no one else, apart from Mr Barlow himself, perhaps! His cheeky ways could also make for great entertainment on the live shows.

Groups – Mentored by Tulisa

The Keys

The Keys have been the most prominent group in the competition so far, and manage to put a contemporary twist on the ‘boyband’ format. Not only that, but they can really harmonise!

2 Shoes

The ditzy Essex duo are so entertaining, that we’re pretty sure Tulisa won’t be able to resist putting these two through to the live shows!

The Lovettes

Originally three solo contestants, Put in to a group by the Judges, the Lovette’s could be the X Factor’s answer to the Sugababes! They’re feisty, cute – and have brilliant voices.

The Risk

Another group put together by the judges, The Risk are a bit like One Direction and The Wanted combined – and look how well those two groups have done!

Overs – Mentored by Louis Walsh

Terry Winstanley

We love Terry! Not only can he hold a tune, but granddad Terry can really hold a tune! The voting public will love him.

Carolynne Poole

Carolynne is down-to-earth but has the voice of a superstar diva! Louis has said how much he likes her previously, and we think we’ll definitely see her in the live shows.

Johnny Robinson

Even if Johnny couldn’t sing a note, we’d still want Louis to put him in his final four! We just can’t get enough of the Harrow-born hopeful – who has us cracking up with his hilarious wit! Oh, and he really can hold a tune.

Kitty Brucknell

Ok, so Kitty is slightly annoying, and we’re never quite sure just WHAT she’s going to do next…but you can’t deny the woman can sing! Not only that, but she’ll be brilliantly entertaining – and Louis does love a novelty act. Anyone remember Jedward?
