Think you have seen it all? From David Blaine’s high profile feats of endurance to Derren Brown’s illusions and mind control games you would think that nothing could really surprise us anymore. However, imagine my surprise when I heard that someone had apparently been seen walking on water. No it wasn’t some sort of religious reference it was Magician Dynamo performing a stunt for his new TV show!
We have heard everyone complain about over-crowding on public transport in London but this is a rather extreme alternative. Apparently the magician walked across the River Thames towards the Houses of Parliament much to the shock and surprise of onlookers. A spokesman for the British magician has said that the claims he walked on water are genuine and there are pictures to back up the claims. The stunt was filmed for his new TV show Dynamo: Magician Impossible which starts on 7 July and will also show him performing tricks like transporting a mobile phone into a glass beer bottle, transforming snow into diamonds and paper butterflies to live butterflies. Sounds brilliant although you have to question how much is real, if any.
These types of shows are always met with scepticism and a lot of disbelief, but if this new show is anything like Derren Brown’s and are as popular then it doesn’t really matter what people say. Magic shows will always be controversial as unless people experience it first-hand they don’t believe what they see. Famous faces that will be featured on the series are Ian Brown, Natalie Imbruglia and David Haye. Other celebs are known fans of his work like Jay-Z, Will Smith and Coldplay. If he’s good enough for Jay-Z, he’s good enough for me! In the first episode he performs his trademark levitation trick and also physically moves a girl’s tan line on the lovely and glam Miami Beach. Ok, I have to watch this show to see this, how on earth is that even possible?!
Check out these videos of his work, they are crazy!!!
