Its parent’s day at Beaver Falls which of course spells out disaster.  It is a chance for the parents to visit their little darling children at their camp but more importantly Bobby uses it as a chance to tap the parents for donations.  The episode starts off in the remains of what was clearly a very messy and drunken party the night before in the “chunk bunk”.

A-Rab finds himself in a sticky situation when he wakes up next to a girl (that’s not Rachael) and doesn’t remember anything from the night before.  When Rick Junior’s dad shows up unexpectedly the whole episode changes to revolve around their relationship… or lack of.  Rick Traviata may be a golfing legend but his fathering skills leave a lot to be desired.

When Bobby realises they have had a party, he makes Flynn try and fix the broken father and son relationship so that he can get the much needed donation for his beloved camp.  Rick Junior tries to run away from camp after being humiliated by his Dad, Rachael gets drunk to try to prove to everyone that she isn’t boring and at the same time, A-Rab finds out that nothing actually happened between him and that other girl.  Pheww.  Drama, drama, drama!

Well you can kind of guess where it’s going, Flynn brings Rick Junior back to camp, Barry helps Rick realise how to be a better Dad and A-Rab saves Rachael from drunkenly driving Bobby’s golf cart.  Ahh, all is well once again.  There is something addictive and brilliant about this show, with some childish humour at times and some increasingly loveable characters I predict this show will be on our screens for quite some time!!!

Beaver Falls Episode 2: It’s July 4th But The Brits Are Still There!

Well Beaver Falls certainly has it all doesn’t it!  Last night it surprised us by showing us it wasn’t just about comedy but actually has some heart too.  Don’t get us wrong the humour to heart ratio is still going strong at about 95% to 5% but it actually works.  We likey likey! So the […]

So the saga continues of the three Brits working at an American summer camp trying to have the best summer ever.  Let us remind you that on arrival they are informed of what the camp promises “The key to a great summer camp is the quality of its staff. At Beaver Falls, we pride ourselves on recruiting only the finest, most morally upstanding young adults from across the globe. So you can rest easy knowing your children are in safe hands at Beaver Falls!”

Well, that’s not what they had in mind really.  This week its July 4th so there’s clearly plenty of havoc to be had.  Beaver Falls throws its annual Independence Day Pageant - and this year, it’s Flynn (the Scottish one) in charge so obviously his crew of campers are roped in to help with the promise that it will help them get dates for the dance that night.

Throw in the arrival of Beaver Falls’ most glamorous and infamous camper, Lily Meadows, and it’s got ‘diplomatic incident’ written all over it.  Meanwhile, A-Rab must pluck up the courage to ask Rachael to the dance especially now she knows who Mr Fox is, while Barry finds the most unlikely of drug dealers, as the boys embrace life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness…

It is safe to say that this show has lodged itself in our hearts!  It was an iffy start to it last week but I am well and truly flying the Beaver Falls flag now for its silly but great Euro-American mix and comedy.  We heart you B-F!
